PICTURES 1-100

2014 JUNE

A selection of 110 photographs (out of 408) taken on yet another visit to Cambodia. The pictures are taken in Sihanoukville, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the relevant part (25 May-03 Jun) of the blog at: https://2014may.royschofield.com My thoughts: Everyone knows I love Cambodia - and taking my Cambodian friend (Mao) away from home for the first time was an experience (for both of us!). [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

2014 NOVEMBER

A selection of 175 (out of 540) photographs taken on my visit to Cambodia in November 2014. One of my main objectives was to meet with Mao and his family again - with little in the way of travelling once in Sihanoukville. Many of the pictures give a clear indication of the love the family have for each other - and also the poverty they live in. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the blog at: https://2014november.royschofield.com My thoughts: My seventh visit to Cambodia - love the place - love the people!

A selection of 100 (out of 250) photographs taken on my visit to Cambodia in January 2015. One of the main reasons for my visit was to see friend Mao as he had left home and gone to Siem Reap to find work - and I knew how difficult it would be for him away from his family. We managed to spend some time together - and visit Angkor Wat again! Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the blog at: https://2015january.royschofield.com My thoughts: It was great to see Mao again. He didn't know I was going and so had a real surprise - but he was finding life difficult. [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

A selection of 130 (out of 439) photographs taken on my visit to Cambodia in May 2015. One of my main objectives was to meet with Mao and his family once again - with little in the way of travelling once in Sihanoukville. Many of the pictures show the happiness the family can have with just a little help and support from others - even though their lives are very difficult the rest of the time. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the blog at: https://2015may.royschofield.com My thoughts: Another visit to Cambodia - love the place - love the people! [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

A selection of 6 short videos and 260 photographs (out of 697) taken on my 10th visit to Cambodia. My travels there were mostly to meet up with the family I - and a number of good friends - help and support and therefore show many of the family - especially Ngeang on his first trip away from home - but there are many other pictures showing scenes typical of Cambodia. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the blog at: https://2015november.royschofield.com My thoughts: Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and seeing some special people! [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

2016 MAY

A selection of 165 photographs (out of 658) taken on my 11th visit to Cambodia. My travels there were to meet up again with the family I - and a number of good friends - help and support. An exceptionally generous friend helped me finance the purchase of a motor bike to help the family too. These pictures show the good times the family have when I go there and treat them to things we expect - and take for granted. Sadly they also show the real conditions that they live in day to day. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the blog at: https://2016may.royschofield.com My thoughts: As always, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and seeing some special people! [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

2016 NOVEMBER

A selection of 120 photographs (out of 411) taken on my 12th visit to Cambodia. My travels there were to meet up again with the family I - and a number of good friends - help and support. A number of friends had continued to help and support them and I had the additional 'cargo' of many Leeds United shirts! These pictures show the good times the family have when I go there and treat them to things we expect - and take for granted. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the blog at: https://2016november.royschofield.com My thoughts: Wonderful to see this special family again - and to see how they are progressing thanks to the help of a number of my friends. [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

2017 JUNE

A selection of 100 photographs (out of 313) taken on my travels to Cambodia. My visit was (as usual when I travel to Cambodia) to visit the family a number of friends help me support. The pictures show both the capital - Phnom Penh (where three of the family spent a couple of days with me) and the resort where the family live - Sihanoukville. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of my travels and experiences - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the relevant part (17 - 31 May) of the blog at: https://2017may.royschofield.com My thoughts: I love my visits to Cambodia - and whilst I love the country, the main purpose of my visit was to meet the wonderful family again. [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

2017 NOVEMBER

A selection of 225 photographs (out of 560) taken on another visit to my second home - Cambodia - to see 'my family' once again. Mao - and his sister Muy - spent a couple of days with me in Phnom Penh - the first time Muy had been away from home. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of my travels and experiences - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the relevant part (04 - 18 Nov) of the blog at: https://2017november.royschofield.com My thoughts: I love to visit these special people and I'm tremendously grateful to the people who have improved their lives so much with donations. [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

2018 MARCH

2018 JUNE

A selection of 180 photographs (out of 352) taken on another visit to my second home - Cambodia - with (again) the main focus being to see 'my family'. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of my travels and experiences - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the relevant part (19 - 29 Mar) of the blog at: https://2018march.royschofield.com My thoughts: I love to visit these special people and I'm tremendously grateful to the people who have improved their lives so much with donations. Shame that the city is being ruined by the invasion of the Chinese and their actions. [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

A selection of 150 photographs (out of 253) taken on my short visit to Cambodia Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I hope you will read my blog of my travels and experiences - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the relevant part (25 - 29 June) of the blog at: https://2018june.royschofield.com My thoughts: Travelling back from the South Pacific gave me an excuse to visit the family I help to support. The pictures tend to be concentrated on the family and their new home and - sadly - also the changing face of Sihanoukville now the Chinese have 'invaded' it and finish with some pictures of Phnom Pehn. [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

A selection of 164 photographs (out of 336) taken on my visit to Cambodia Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I did not produce a blog whilst in Cambodia. My thoughts: My usual November visit to Cambodia ending another year of special travels - but also to see some special people. Sadly the Chinese 'invasion' continued with much of the city of Sihanoukville looking like one huge building site. However the usual day trip with the family certainly was the highlight. Would not normally have repeat visits to such place - but this is special to me! [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

A selection of 110 photographs taken (out of 326) on my fourth visit to Cambodia. My visit was centred round Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Koh Rong Samloem. I hope you will read my blog of this visit - which gives some indication of the experiences and friendships that can be built through travel - and these pictures can be used in conjunction with the relevant parts (22-28 march) of the blog at: http://www.2013march.royschofield.com My thoughts: Just love Cambodia. I keep finding an excuse to go back :-)

A selection of 25 (out of 118) photographs from my visit to Cambodia in November 2011. It was my third visit in less than 18 months! Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I did not produce a blog on this trip. My thoughts: For me to travel to the same place three times in 18 months gives you some indication of what I think of Cambodia. There is the appalling history of the country which I have seen but I love travelling the country and meeting the people - and it's cheap! [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

A selection of 95 (out of 350) photographs from my visit to Cambodia in March 2011. They cover Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville. PLEASE NOTE: Some pictures show graphic images from the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and could affect some people. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I did not produce a blog on this trip. My thoughts: Enjoyed my previous visit to Cambodia but wanted to return to visit things I had not had time to visit on my last trip. [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge. Some maybe little blurred due to rushing the shot - or taking through a travelling bus window etc]

A selection of 229 photographs (out of 358) taken on my visit to Cambodia. My travels took me from the Vietnam border - to the capital Phnom Pehn and onwards to Siem Reap before heading across the border into Thailand. Please note that the photographs are as originally taken and not enhanced by any means. I did not produce a blog on this trip. My thoughts: I loved Cambodia - the crazy hustle and bustle of Phnom Pehn, the sombre Killing Fields and the stunning Angkor Wat [Please click on the thumbnail images to enlarge.
